Raucous radio show intended for adults only!
When the cast of the popular radio show “The Flux Soap Radio Hour” arrive at work, they learn that things are not as they should be. A writers’ strike has forced the cast to work unprepared with scripts by “less polished” writers.
See what happens when the n.u.f.a.n ensemble presents “Two Hundred Bullets and Seven Poison Apples” opening at 10:30 p.m., Friday February 19 at Prop Theater 3502 North Elston Avenue, Chicago.
“Two Hundred Bullets and Seven Poison Apples” – written by the n.u.f.a.n ensemble’s artistic director Paul Barile - recreates the radio shows of yesteryear with a troupe of offbeat actors who double as dastardly villains and sexy heroines.
“We thought we’d try something new,” Barile said. “We have never done late night, and we have never done anything specifically written for an adult audience.”
The cast includes: Keely Brennan, Justin Cagney, John Champion, Mary Czerwinski, Mike Dunbar, Joe Hudson, Emily Kane, Zach Uttich, Ben Veatch.
The crew includes Assistant Director Greg Aldrich, Stage Manager Uttich, Prop Master Joel Rosal. Zach Johnson-Dunlop and Barile are producers. Jingles by Barile.
Rachel Edwards Harvith directs.
Opening weekend – anyone dressed in period garb (1930s) will get in for $2.00 (that’s right; two bucks). Normal ticket price is $5.00 (yep, five bucks.)
