Free theatre when you need it
2009
There isn’t a better way to spend a Tuesday evening than hanging at the Holiday Club (4000 N. Sheridan) checking out some free theater courtesy of Chicago’s own n.u.f.a.n. ensemble.
The inaugural event will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 1 in the lounge of the popular club.
“Each month there will be a different event,” n.u.f.a.n member and event coordinator Mary Czerwinski said. “We are going to introduce our reading series here as well as a variety of programs you have come to know and love from the ensemble.”
In addition to staged readings of brand new plays from around the country, there will be variety shows, and the wildly popular monologue competition “Monodogs of War.”
The events will be held on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. There is no cover charge for any of the events.
“We want to use this time to perform as well as network with other like-minded artists,” Czerwinski said. “We hope to bring in poets, musicians, anyone who has something to offer.”
The Holiday Club’s legendary kitchen will be open for events.
n.u.f.a.n. nights will be held at 6:30 p.m., the first Tuesday of every month in the lounge at the Holiday Club 4000 N. Sheridan Road.
